Sullivan UMC—J. Michael Smith
Notes from around the church
- We had a wonderful evening last night at the pancake and sausage dinner. It was a joy to see everyone working together—frying sausages, flipping pancakes, brewing coffee, cleaning tables…and eating and enjoying one another. Yvonne estimates that about 90 people came from the community and from our church. I myself thoroughly enjoyed getting around and meeting people and sharing with church members.
- Special appreciations today for outside donations to last night’s dinner: Prairie Farms, Sullivan Fire Department, and Red Apple restaurant.
- Part 2 of this week’s double feature is tonight: ASH WEDNESDAY WORSHIP in the sanctuary at 6 p.m.
- Prayers for Ellen Feeler who is getting accustomed to her new apartment at Heritage Woods. I was able to see her Monday and enjoyed a pleasant conversation.
- Prayers for Mary White who has made a detour through Decatur Memorial Hospital this week. She is doing better and hopes to be home by the end of today.
Hope to see you at our Ash Wednesday worship tonight.
