Sullivan UMC—J. Michael Smith
A busy day around the church today. I saw a number of you coming and going—mostly distributing food to various people in our community.
I saw Bob White, who reported that Mary is coming along, although not back to 100% yet—but moving in the right direction.
The plan today was to work on my sermon on “Kindness” for this Sunday, but never got to it. I hope it was because I was too busy being kind to the people who were in and out all day.
My wife has indicated how much she enjoyed being with all of you last Sunday, and many of you have indicated that the feeling was mutual. A rare instance of being able to please nearly all the people!
And finally for today, an interesting link that is not church related, but leads to a fascinating article on the history of counties in Illinois history. In the beginning, there was no Moultrie County here. This neck of the woods was in Knox County. You can browse through the maps and see all the other places we used to be. Enjoy:
