Joys and Concerns from yesterday’s worship services:
- Joy that Mary Storm is back in Sullivan after a hospital stay in Springfield
- Joy that Egan Hoss is getting better after a broken arm this week, and concern for his continued recovery and stamina for his parents.
- Joy for all those who spoke in church last Sunday giving their testimony of what our congregation means to them.
- Concerns for victims of recent storms, floods, and tornados
- Concerns for Ivy Stewart, 19-month old great-grand-daughter of Bonnie Stewart, who is in the hospital with a respiratory infection
- Brad Rau, for health concerns
- Joys for the celebration of life and the gift the church provided (a meal and space) for the family of Norma Hickenbottom
Bible Studies begin tomorrow (and Wednesday)
The pastor’s Bible study on Revelation has its first session tomorrow morning (Tuesday) from 10-11 a.m. in the choir room. You may come to some of the sessions or all of them. No Bible knowledge needed. No one will be put on the spot and embarrassed. This is designed for beginners and those who have had lots of questions about all they have heard or read about the book of Revelation.
The same session will be repeated on Wednesday evening from 6:15-7:15 for those who prefer that time—or cannot attend one or more of the Wednesday sessions.
Note: these session will be irregular. Tuesday sessions will be held on April 21, 28, May 5, June 2, 9, 16, and 23.
Wednesday session will be held on April 22, 29, May 6, 27, and June 10, 17, and 24.
Church Council meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) night
The church council will meet at 6 p.m. Items of business include: voting on a new building policy, voting on job descriptions for the three part-time office positions, finance reports, parsonage reports, and copy machine reports.
