Hours in Town This Week

I will be in town Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  If anyone would like to drop by—or have me visit—please contact me so I can clear the time for you.  The days usually get quite packed if people don’t contact me ahead of time.  Call or text me at 217-898-3148 or email me at jms754@gmail.com

Bible Studies

A reminder that the Bible Study on Revelation is offered this week on Tuesday morning (tomorrow) at 10 and repeated Wednesday evening at 6:15.

Informal dinner gathering tomorrow night

Tuesday nights are an opportunity for people from the church to go out to dinner together (pay your own) and share fellowship.  Anyone can come—it’s not a clique!  No reservations needed, but Ray Burrus is the one who makes reservations at a different restaurant each week.  It helps if he knows how many plan to show up.  This informal eat and meet is one of the ways I have been able to get to know several church members better.  Tomorrow night, at 5:30, we’ll be meeting at Yoder’s in Arthur. If you want to attend tomorrow night, text me (217-898-3148) and I’ll pass it on to Ray.

Joys and Concerns from Yesterday’s Worship Services

  • Leo Bertetto broke his arm in a bike accident.  Prayers for him and his parents.

  • Joys for the birthdays of Ann Wheeler and Lois Shuman.
  • Prayers for Kraig Weinberg for health problems.
  • Prayers for Paula Coffer and her family upon the death of her father.
  • Remembrance of Kat Pound’s mother who passed away three years ago today.
  • Randy Inman (the Love family) for health concerns.  He is at Mayo Clinic.
  • From Mary White:  concern for a great-nephew’s prematurely born child—2 months early.
  • Prayers for Theresa Shaw’s brother, Larry Preston, in Chicago for health concerns and tests.
  • A joy for a chance to spend the weekend with good friends and family.
  • Appreciation for the church as it provides meals and comforts to families going through grief.
